Little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC.
CAST OF CHARACTERS
ANNIE A complex, tough, streetwise urchin who is surprisingly vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: her newfound "family." She’s motherly to the other orphans, independent, overwhelmed and hopeful. Strong vocals. Vocal range: D5-A3
THE ORPHANS
The Orphans are gritty girls that are neglected and vulnerable, yet basically honest and lovable. They have “mischievous” fun together, as well as “sibling style” fights. Good singers and visually expressive.
MOLLY The littlest at age 6. Vocal range: B4-A3
KATE The next-to-youngest at age 7. Vocal range: C5-C4
TESSIE The cry baby at age 11. Vocal range: C5-A3

JULY The quietest at age 13. Vocal range: D5-C4
DUFFY The oldest at age 13. Vocal range: D5-C4
MISS HANNIGAN A definite "has-been." Her distaste for her job should ooze from every line she delivers. Strong actress with excellent comic timing. This character is larger than life. Vocal range: D5-G3
GRACE FARRELL Warbucks's calm, cool and classy secretary. She appears businesslike when dealing with Miss Hannigan and Warbucks, yet maternal toward Annie. She always appears "in control" and sophisticated. She is likable, sweet and confident. Vocal range: C5-D4
ROOSTER HANNIGAN Miss Hannigan’s swindling brother - flashy and self-assured. Comic duo with girlfriend, Lily St. Regis, and claims to be Annie’s parents. Vocal range: Bb4-G3
LILY ST. REGIS Rooster’s sleazy girlfriend and airheard accomplice. She’s naturally funny, has a good sense of timing and is a strong singer. Comic duo with boyfriend, Rooster, and claims to be Annie’s parents. Vocal range: Bb4-Bb3
OLIVER WARBUCKS The daunting millionaire who made his fortune during World War I as an industrialist - self-assured, confident, focused and gently authoritative. He’s awkwardly affectionate toward Annie and then finds himself completely charmed by her. Vocal range: D5-A3
SANDY The stray dog that Annie adopts.
